Coffee can be a life saver based on the results of a study that observed and tracked the benefits of drinking coffee.  The study found that people who didn’t drink coffee were at a 1.5 times increased risk of developing multiple sclerosis compared to those who drank about 4 cups of coffee on a daily basis.

The downside to the study was that coffee is known to cause gastrointestinal problems and increased migraines in some people, and unfiltered coffee has been linked to increased levels of LDL cholesterol.

The researchers will present their findings at the American Academy of Neurology annual meeting next month.
